So much to catch up on

Still in desperate need to get my post count up here, and although I can cite a million different reasons, I think I’ll just got with Facebook as the cause and endeavor to do better. That ok? Fine. Thanks.

Nothing like a week of bite size chunks on Facebook only to come back here and write posts. It certainly feels a lot more liberating than spitting out tiny little bits and pieces now and then. I’ll fight the Facebook generation, but I guess I’m fighting a losing battle.

Unlike my writing at the moment, which I’m happily churning out at more than 2,000 words a day. It’s a good place to be in, and not just because I think writing most of the time. The novel aughta be done in the next week or so. I’ve given myself until 11th August to have it finished. A writing friend wants something to read on his 15 hour flight home. I can’t say no to that.

Of course, there’s the matter of what to write next, while the last novel cools. I am pondering a few things … and there’s always Pope. What with it’s overly depressive and dark plotline, and it’s main character having synthasia, I’ve always considered that an intimidating write. May be time to revisit the idea all the same.

The end is very much in sight. They might have surprised me a lot in the last 20k or so, but there’s no surprises in the last 5k. Just gotta guide this ship into harbour.

And by way of explanation of the strange image for this post, check out the Kidz In Space’s latest single Ghost, from their upcoming debut album.

  1. Ah no! That’s from Kidz In Space’s first single Downtime. They’re a favorite local group of mine. Their first video looked just like that. Three ‘spacemen’ searching for a giant black obelisk. I put it there because I was going to eventually run into the fact that they’re released another track 🙂
